The Unique And Dynamic Nature Of Dr. Alterwein's Appearances
1)---Dr. Alterwein at age 60 makes an enigmatic and remarkable physical appearance in that facially he appears 15 or more years younger than his chronological age...while his body, clothed or in a bathing suit, appears fit, toned and chiseled as that of a 30 year old physically fit individual.
2)---...Thus, upon first meeting him, on stage or off, his appearance becomes an immediate topic of curiosity, awe, and conversation. It is as if some people's breath are momentarily almost taken away.
3)---...The advent of 'awe' as noted in "2" above becomes especially apparent when it is realized that his appearance has been derived at by totally natural means (no plastic surgery or the like, and which surgery would be impossible to make his appearance as naturally physically fit and youthful as it is).
4)---Additionally, the feeling of 'awe' at his remarkably robust appearance becomes even more evident upon the realization that Dr. Alterwein has had severe congenital heart disease for which a heart transplant had been recommended in order to be able to survive, and because of which (severe congenital heart disease) he went into bilateral heart failure in his late fifties and into a state of total body emaciation for which he lost weight to just over 100 pounds...and since which time he has recuperated remarkably, despite continuing sequelae of his underlying illness.
5)---...The audience therefore identifies almost immediately with Dr. Alterwein as being 'one of them'...human, with frailties, and which identification in turn gives them hope that their illnesses can similarly be overcome.
6)---His appearance therefore instills a combination of awe, curiosity and intent interest in combination with a very certain and real sense of hope, which few people have when it comes to overcoming severe and even terminal illness.
7)---When Dr. Alterwein speaks, he does so naturally, and in a down to earth manner. Because he believes so fervently and passionately in what he speaks about, and because he is so knowledgeable in the topics he speaks about, he can speak extemporaneously. His manner of delivery therefore comes off not only as being natural, but most significantly as being sincere and honest. This in turn immediately creates a likeability on the part of his viewing audience, along with the individual identification with him of persons viewing and listening to him.

11)---Dr. Alterwein's animated and natural manner of delivery oftens entails his appearance as that of a showman or actor on stage, yet intermixed with the sincerity of a concerned and learned scholar, researcher, and concerned and caring medical doctor.
12)---Within minutes of his opening delivery it becomes apparent to the audience that he is not the usual person one meets in everyday life. By the end of the lecture his appearance is often 'bigger than life,' even though he is humble in his knowledge and approach.
Audience Appeal
1)---Dr. Alterwein appeals to audiences of a diverse nature. Because of his remakrably youthful appearance and manner of speech and thought, young people tend to look up to him and identify and respect him, something rare in society today wherein young people usually look upon seniors as 'over the hill' and 'out of date' or 'out of touch' with the present. Quite the contrary, young people express the feelings, thoughts, and desires to be like Dr. Alterwein when they become older. His appeal to younger audiences is therefore often based not only upon health related and unusual knowledge and insight, but also upon his remarkly youthful, robust, and strong appearance.
2)---Middle aged audiences identify with Dr. Alterwein because he is at the upper end of that age group ( middle age). So middle-aged people tend to identify with learning from him what to do to be like him and do what he does. Audiences of this age group are often concerned with learning from Dr. Alterwein whatever it might be related to 'slowing down the aging process' and 'offsetting disease,' both of which circumstances Dr. Alterwein evidences personally.
3)---Senior citizens of an older age also identify with Dr. Alterwein not only because he is at the lower end of approaching their older ages, but very much so because he has already experienced the worst of the worst when it comes to illnesses such as those with which they are also afflicted. By virtue of his personal experience in this regard, and remarkably highly scholastic acadenic background as a medical doctor and scholar versed in many different fields, they therefore often listen intently and are glued to whatever it is that Dr. Alterwein says.
Time Length Of Appearances, Feedback, Audence Size And Other Factors
1)---Although it is wise to limit the lecture time, the audience often 'holds' or tries to 'hold' Dr. Alterwein on stage to hear more of what he says. Because of the unique and original nature of how he looks and what he says and what he knows, a bored audience is hardly worth even speaking about.
