Frequently Asked Questions

Question: Isn't it true that this web site is really all about alternative and holistic medicine?
Answer: No. The terms alternative medicine and holisitc medicine, although appearing to go beyond conventional medicine and/or implying the caring for the body as a whole, are terms which have been used so much and so indiscriminately by so many different people, both who know and who don't know what they're talking about, that they have become prostituted terms...to me basically meaningless.
---My web site doesn't incorporate one specific modality that you can put your finger on and say that's what it is. It incorporates the combination all those fields of study and learning which directly and/or indirectly relate to the status of health and/or illness and/or aging of the human body, and as you can see, there are many.
---I took information pretty much from many different fields, a little bit or more from each, and interrelated them together into a new and more complete understanding as to how the body works in health, disease and aging. That's what this web site is all about.
---I would refer you to a statement I made and published beginning in 1985 in each issue of the health care magazine I used to publish called, "The Medical Health Care Gazette":
"...To me, doctoring is the maintaining of health, the fighting aginst disease, and incorporting toward that goal the learning and study of whatever related fields it be necessary to study in order to acomplish it. Whether it be the biological sciences and conventional medicine on the one hand, or the prevention of disease on the other, due consideration must always be given not only to both, but also to the way our bodies are made: the mind and the body working together as one total entity."
---Clearly, if even such topics as those within the field of theoretical physics or the social sciences inclusive of interpersonal relations between family members would be pertinent, than studies along these lines would be included also.
---...Actually, when you think about it, there are few fields of learning having little to do with 'lifestyle' and man's interrlelation with the environment, which is what the study of health, and disease and aging--and this web site--are really all about!
